Trilogy Device In Cancer Treatment

Radiotherapy is a treatment method used in the treatment of cancer or in rare cases non-cancerous diseases. In parallel with the development of computer technology, there have been advances in the technology of external radiotherapy devices that are used in radiotherapy planning and treatment. LINAK based devices have been developed. The common features of these devices are IMRT and IGRT.

In line with these developments, our hospital has acquired the VARIAN TRILOGY DEVICE with the latest technological radidarc license. TRILOGY DEVICE in Avrasya Hospital Oncology Department is a linear accelerator (LINAK) device used in external radiotherapy. It produces 6MV and 16MV photons (x-rays) and 4,6,9,12,16,20 MeV electron energy.

What Are The Features Of The Trilogy Device?

  • IMRT: Intensity-adjusted radiotherapy
  • RapidArc: Volumetric Intensity Adjusted Arc Therapy (VMAT)
  • SRT / SRC
  • IGRT

In addition to these features we have mentioned above, the Trilogy device, with the image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) feature, ensures the precise application of the planned beam dose to the patient.

We have maximum success in the treatment of our patients when using the trilogy device, with minimum side effects of treatment.
